Repeat prescriptions

If you are on regular medication, that has been approved by the doctor, you may request a repeat prescription.  This can be done by either;

  • Registering for online services and requesting your repeat prescription medicines online through our website,
  • Ticking the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and either handing it in at your pharmacy, or
  • Nominating a pharmacy to request and collect your prescription on your behalf – please contact your preferred pharmacy to find out more about this service.

Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) for repeat medication requests to be completed.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. Patients on regular medication are asked to have a periodic review with the doctor or nurse. The date of your next review is indicated on the right-hand section of your prescription.
If the date for your next review has passed or is due in the near future you may be asked to make an appointment to see the Doctor / Nurse.  It is important that you attend for your medication reviews to ensure that there is no delay in obtaining your repeat medication.
